Currículum vitae
Doctor in medicine cum laude, by the University of Valencia, is specialist in family and community medicine. His educational work is related to the Department of Medicine of the University of Valencia, being responsible of the course Primary Care and Geriatrics. His research work is developed in the field of cardiometabolic research, being the principal investigator of the Research Group on Primary Care at INCLIVA. In addition, is a member of Network of Centers for Biomedical Research of the Public Health system (CIBERESP). Dr. Navarro is an active member of the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine. (SEMFYC), he is the national coordinator of the Research Group for Diabetes, Cardiovascular Research group of the Preventive and health promotion program activities (by its acronym in Spanish, PAPPS), Valencian society of General and Family Doctors (SVMFYC), he is the coordinator of the Diabetes Group project at the RedGEDAPS, as an automatic coordinator; and in the Spanish Diabetes Society (SED), in the Research Groups of Cardiovascular and Primary Care. He has been the Director of the Observatory of Chronic Illness. (SEMFYC-SEMI-SECA) He is an academician at The Royal Academy of Medicine and Related Sciences of the Valencian Region. His management work includes a Master’s Degree in Management and Organization of Hospitals and Public Services at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, having been Deputy Medical Director of La Fe Hospital and Medical Director of the Clinical University Hospital of Valencia.
