Our working group's main objective is to improve the patient's quality of life by advancing in new methods of identification and diagnosis of this pathology and above all through the search for new therapeutic alternatives (stem cells) or the improvement of those already verified that can be implemented. Within this objective, we have to adapt ourselves to the natural evolution of medicine by integrating precision medicine into our daily work, providing each patient with what they need for the treatment of their pathology. Robotics, personalised guides, the use of mesenchymal cells in degenerative pathology and the creation of protocols for readaptation to daily activity are different lines of work of the group. The identification of implants tailored to the patient, the greater adjustment and precision of surgical gestures in everyday surgery (robotics) and the search for specific biomarkers for each procedure, allow us to address the pathology of patients with new therapeutic approaches. Likewise, with the development of an analysis of cellular mechanisms and their action at the molecular level, we can tackle inflammatory degenerative joint disease with new alternatives in the search for personalised and individualised medicine. We are progressively incorporating new emerging researchers.
