Líneas de investigación

1. Study of the systemic inflammation in early chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
2. Study of the vascular inflammation induced by different risk factors of atherosclerosis: metabolic syndrome, primary and familial hypercholesterolemia and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
3. Study of new immune players in atherosclerosis, abdominal aortic aneurism development, Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFL) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
4. Study of pharmacological effects in the control of cardiometabolic disorders of new dual PPARa/? and panPPAR agonists.
5. Identification of new mechanisms involved in angiogenesis and inflammation in obese patients
6. Study of new pharmacological agonists of GIPR and GLP1R in the development of abdominal aortic aneurysm and endothelial dysfunction.
