The LInCE group was established in 2000 as a basic research group with a translational vocation. Our scientific objectives are mainly focused on studying the vascular effects of sex hormones and their relationship with sex differences in cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. To this end, we search for new signalling pathways regulated by sex hormones in experiments performed in patients, experimental animals and cultured cells, mainly endothelial cells. As a result of its scientific activity, the LInCE group has developed 40 competitive research projects funded by regional, national and international agencies, has published more than 150 articles, and has presented more than 200 communications to national and international scientific congresses. A large part of its activity is carried out in collaboration with different national and international research groups, supported by collaborative projects and by participation in national and international research networks. The group has trained a large number of predoc and postdoc researchers. Most of them are currently active in some of the best international research institutions. In addition to an accredited group in the cardiovascular research line of INCLIVA, it is a group recognized by the University of Valencia (GIUV2013-009).
